In the event Google I / O that takes place in San Francisco yesterday, Google officially announced the availability of ChromeBook, notebooks made by Google that use the operating system ChromeOS.

Just to remind, ChromeOS is internet-based operating system and Google's service-oriented. All the activities you do in ChromeOS basically under the Chrome browser. For example when you want to type, ChromeBook run Google Docs.

Internet-based systems like this are not fit to countries with mediocre infrastructure such as Indonesia, but not for developed countries. That's why Google is planning to market ChromeBook in 7 countries, namely USA, UK, Spain, Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands.

There are two units offered by Google. The first of the Acer has a 11.6-inch screen size and equipped with Intel Atom N570. ChromeBook Acer will be priced at U.S. $ 349.

The second version is from Samsung which uses the same processor but with a screen size of 12 inches. ChromeBook Samsung will be sold at a price of U.S. $ 429 (WiFi) and U.S. $ 499 (3G). Google also will provide a "Student Package" which allows students to rent ChromeBook of U.S. $ 20 per month.

In addition to providing notebook format, Google reportedly will also provide a version of the PC desktop to enterprise and enterprise segments. This shows how aggressive Google to change the paradigm of the operating system that is now in the Internet-based client.
