Asus Eee PC 1215B review

The newly announced Asus Eee PC 1215B was on show at this years CES, and looks to be the bigger brother at 12-inches of the 10.1-inch Asus 1015B.

Just as with the 1015B, the Asus 1215B makes use of the newly announced AMD Zacate processor. It looks much like the other recent 1215 netbook series, with the same case and design, but now uses the latest AMD hardware.

The Asus Eee PC 1215B is powered by the new dual core 1.6GHZ AMD E-350 processor, and AMD Radeon graphics. The Radeon graphics provide HD playback support and are much more powerful than the standard Intel Atom graphics, and are on par with the the Nvidia Ion graphics.

The Asus 1215B is available with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM, along with either a 250GB or 320GB hard drive. It also features, 802.11n/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and comes with a 6-cell battery.

We don’t know the size measurements of the Asus 1215B but we do know that it weighs 3.2 pounds, and that it will be available in black, silver and red color options.

The 1215B also features Asus Super Hybrid Engine for overclocking and underclocking the processor for extra performance or power saving.

No price or release date are currently known for theAsus Eee PC 1215B.
