Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series Preview

Yesterday at CES 2011, Samsung introduced the brand new Samsung Sliding PC 7 series, which is meant to combine the world of a notebook and mobile PC. Samsung Sliding PC 7 series is Samsung’s first sliding tablet PC device, runs on Microsoft’s Windows 7 Operating System, powered by the upcoming Intel Atom processor platform, and weighs just 2.2 pounds.

Just as other tablets, Samsung Sliding PC 7 Series also features compact and light design, at the same time, incorporating a sliding keyboard for easy typing to enhance the overall productivity and performance. You will also be allowed to access to the multi-touch display, or the mouse interface to type except the full keyboard.

There will be two options for potential customers: a 32GB model, or a 64GB version. Both of them will come with 2GB of DDR2 memory, sport a 10.1-inch capacitive HD LCD touchscreen with brightness of 340nit and at the resolution of 1366 x 768. Under the hood, you can find an Intel ATOM Oak-Trail Z670 clocked at 1.66GHz.

As for the ports, Samsung Sliding PC 7 series equipped with a 4-in-1 memory card reader, a single USB 2.0 port, an HDMI out port. The device powered by a 6-cell battery, that Samsung wagers will last 9 hours with usage.
